Well I doubt he created 5 million new jobs sitting at his desk as Sec of Treasury. The only way the government can create more jobs is simply throwing more money at the budget (congress). Kamala is definitely an empty suit but the role of VP basically turns you into that if you werent one. Cheney seems to be one of the few who had a lot of power and connections and had his hand in decisions related to Iraq and Afghanistan.
This would lead me to believe trump is most likely going to select a vanilla woman or younger guy because no way trump gets upstaged by his VP.
Cheney turned out to be a VP that harnessed real power, to our misfortune, also because George W. Bush was incompetent, clueless and weak. In fact George W. Bush was one of the most if not the most incompetent and weak presidents since Jimmy Carter, yes even more incompetent and weaker than Joe Biden. George W. Bush is the only president in recent history who managed to have zero accomplishments (aside from introducing Daylight Savings Time two months earlier in the spring and two months later in the fall forcing all of the Northeastern United States to get up in pitch-dark and crank up the heat in the morning) so it was very easy for Cheney to get all those power for himself and run the country.
Trump should have Elizabeth Dole as his VP. At least he's got a woman on the ticket. And she's not too bad on the bipartisan front and that could be a plus for Trump. And she's got tons and TONS of experience starting with her work with the Lyndon Johnson administration. That's 60+ years of experience. Trump's got the right ideas but he has zero political experience and that really hurt him. He needs someone with experience, someone with experience on the inside if he wants to do better second time around. Elizabeth Dole is the right person if she's willing to be on the ticket for Trump.
