In fact if we could simply convince this group of people to get vaccinated the U.S. would probably arrive at Covid herd immunity (assuming children over age 5 also get vaccinated).

You have to admit, it is a curious correlation. However, while Trump did downplay the severity of the virus itself and the impact of the pandemic, he hasn’t been “anti-vaccination” either, to be fair to him.

To me the fact that Trump supporters are less likely to get vaccinated shows they are more likely to believe misinformation, which Trump himself is a purveyor of in other areas.

I think it’s fair to say that Trump supporters are just dumb and easily fooled. Whether it’s Trump feeding them garbage or other fringe right wing outlets - it’s all the same. Dumb people are easy to confuse and trick.
