If you haven't heard by now, Prez Biden had a surprise (pop-up) interview with Howard Stern this morning on SirusXMM, starting around 10:05 AM and lasting through ~11:30 AM.
The interview was quite pleasant, with Stern touching on mostly personal questions about Biden's life.
But two things stuck me about it that stand out...
1.) It was uber hush-hush, in that nobody knew it was coming. In fact, it was notably missing from the POTUS calendar over at http://factba.se. It seemed a smart move on the part of the Biden campaign, to reach a demographic that he never had before (whatever demo SXM represents. But there are a lot of them. 34 million at last count).
2.) SXM listeners had no idea it was coming either, as Stern is usually off on Thurs and Fridays.
If there was ever any interview that could push a close race over he edge, it would be this one. In fact, Howie mentioned, back after the 2016 election, that he felt that if Clinton had managed to be interviewed before the 2016 election, we may have had a totally different outcome. I agree.
It was relatively brief, but effective.
