Biden kicks Canadians in the groin over Keystone - gets off to a rocky start

Never a good sign when both the Premier of Alberta and Justin Trudeau agree on something. The Canadians run a caste system where Alberta and places where people do real work for a living are treated like the arsehole of Canada, so for Trudeau and brie-and-chablis crowd there in Ottawa and Montreal to side with Alberta is a rarity. Of course, this is just classic Trudeau "expressing disappointment." And then that is the end of it. That is how pussies roll.

The Canadians on this forum - a couple exceptions- are mostly Americanized dem bootlickers so take their views for what they are worth.

Back in the real world though, Joe Biden just kicked Canada in the groin and they know it. Americans too of course, but that is a given.

As he promised, Biden has taken immediate steps to reverse America's and the western worlds energy independence. No siree, we don't want any of that.

Only Alberta...rest of Canada doesn't need the Keystone nor will fight for it except for Alberta. They were warned to wait for the U.S. elections before dropping like 1.6 billion dollars into it...now its a very costly losing adventure for Albertians.

All the jobs lost...very little of it was from the Indigenous community that those damn pipelines were being built on their land in Canada and the United States.

They would have had better luck had those pipelines ran through other communities / suburbs not inhabited by the Indigenous but it was not "cost effective". :D

Yet, it all got off to a bad start in the beginning when the Keystone XL pipeline was first decided without proper consultation of the Indigenous land owners and without guaranteed jobs to the Indigenous communities if the pipelines were going to be built through their lands.

I'm glad its dead in the water and its a valuable lesson to the politicians of Alberta.

Its not a choice between fossil fuels and renewables at this point
This is about safety. It is much safer to move fuel in pipelines then by rail or truck

Canada had said before that this oil will go to China without the pipeline
