I'm not so sure on this. If the advancement of firearms now had been back in the day of the founding of the nation, I cannot agree that there wouldn't be some stipulations on the types of weapons people could own.

The argument of "the 2nd A doesn't give you the right to own tanks" is a valid one. It doesn't.

The problem here is that liberals will then take this and go full slippery slope and use it to remove all firearms. And that's a big issue.

Supreme Court already ruled that right can be infringed so you already lost the argument...

there really are no absolute rights in the Constitution that cannot be infringed no matter how many times people who failed social studies claim it to be..there are procedures to be followed in some amendments for criminal issues but the idea "shall not be infringed" means the right is inalienable is ignorant

First, they take away your guns then, they take away your rights. Look at Russia (Socialist), China (Communist), Cuba (Communist), etc. All are able to take away their citizens rights on a whim. Look at the Chinese lockdown of Shanghai were the Chinese were locked up (apartments padlocked), cannot even go out to buy food? What about Canada (Socialist) and Justin Trudeau taking the rights of the demonstrating truckers? Their bank accounts frozen and charged in court on top of that? That is what the Democrat (so called progressives who are all Socialist or Communist) want to do in the US so that, they can cheat in elections with impunity and create powers for themselves over everyone else. I hope most Americans have the sense to vote most of these Democrat bums come November 8, 2022. If not, we will resemble China soon enough.
