Their farming and industry and population in the stone age, yet have weapons technology.
If they have machinery for building weapons, where's their machinery for agriculture or mining or infrastructure to keep people out of malnutrition?

Those missiles have to be coming from somewhere else but who?
Would not be surprised to hear it's European, but it could be Russia/China.

NK is a vassal state of China's to bend the will of the region to their needs while maintaining plausibly deniability.

North Korea launched a suspected intermediate range missile for the first time since 2017, according to initial assessments from Japan and South Korea. The missile reached an altitude of up to 2,000 kilometers (1,240 miles) and had a flight distance of about 800 kilometers, the two neighbors said.

This is low Earth orbit altitude. Assuming your source is correct -- a huge assumption -- they may have a satellite development program going. Not an unreasonable thing for them to want to do.
