Hunter was subpoenaed for a deposition in a case against the President.
I have never seen a public deposition. I don't think its even ethical or fair to the defendant of the case (oldjoe). A deposition may reveal evidence that the court may later strike from the case....If public it could influence a jury
Well -- if the testimony will not be public -- then it is time to stop the selective leaks and hold those making any comments about the closed hearings legally accountable. Comer and his GOP buddies have selectively leaked items out of context over and over again to drive a false narrative. It is time for the leaks in this committee circus to end -- there is no better remedy than holding the hearing in public and allowing the sunshine in -- which after all should be the intent of democracy.

The Republicans have stated very clearly there will be no public committee hearing whatsoever.
NOBODY should be leaking ANY material from a closed committee session. Leaking any information should lead to criminal charges.

Which has already been backtracked on. The committee will not set a date for a public hearing.

The first thing that needs to be done is for the DOJ to step in and investigate all the closed session leaks from this committee and prosecute everyone involved in the leaks.
