Garland had long insisted Weiss had the authority he needed to investigate Hunter Biden without special counsel status.

Garland didn't do that until there was a big stink in the media and a federal judge nixed the Hunter Biden plea deal. Now Weiss is free to bring cases outside of Delaware. He tried to do that before, but the local US Attorneys wouldn't give their permission.
Because the Trump appointee was investigating Hunter, what more do you guys want here?

First, using influence isn't corruption - that's straight up lobbying which isn't illegal. If Joe changed policies for money, that would be corruption and after 2 years of investigation, you guys can't produce a single example. Even your Shokin talking point was demolished by Archer.
