Biden expected to announce $10,000 student loan forgiveness

you prefer the approach where those who have not should have it handed all to them
I prefer all who expect to eat, to work. The world has no need for money renters, never has. Large new projects are no excuse, they, and the maintenance of those already built, are what are destroying the biosphere right now.

The world has a great need for for finance. Public bonds built this country. In the private sector the allocation of capital is necessary for major advancement. Almost every advancement is driven by debt.

Debt seems to be a bad word but anyone who took economics understands that debt can represent an educated population or a major health advancement, electrical grids and highway systems.

Not trying to butt in but wanting to make a point about finance and debt. Value of the debt is often overlooked.

No need for money renters??

Sorry dont understand that. People who cannot afford to own or who plan on living in a city or a town for a short period of time want to rent a aplce to live.

You know there was a time before finance and rentiers, right? Not exactly a short time, either.

This is really a matter of values, not a problem, so it's unsolvable.

400 years strong
Blink of an eye*.

I think we were sustainable up to the point we started tapping the one-time endowment of fossil fuels, around 1750. I mean, I hope humanity can survive on the technology of that time. We have to deduct energy drawn from whale oil, and slaves of course. Anyway, unfortunately, that tapping ballooned the world's population far above what contemporary energy inputs can sustain. Not to mention the drawdown of other one-time endowments, like pollution sinks, and minerals (there's even a sand shortage, lol).

*Americans think 100 years is a long time, and Europeans think 100 miles is a long way.
