My take on Warren and Biden is that she is a sort of like a cautious trader who stays steady and even-keeled and will not resort to dirty tricks or wild moves as long as the overall direction of her long trade (her candidacy) and her short trade (Joe's) are in the right direction and as long as the last-gaspers keep doing the dirty stuff against Joe to try to get attention. In the end, Pocahonky wants not only Joe's supporters but Joe's support too in the general so she does not want to get dirty unless she has too (also she sees how it worked out for Skankala. It gave her a brief sugar high, then she tanked).
Having said that she will need to go head to head with Joe, in debates so that she can appear ballsy. But she and Joe have a long, long, long history of clashing over finance regulation, bankrupcty laws etc. so she can easily get testy and aggressive on issues that will not involve dirty stuff or things that go to Joe's character, such as corruption.
She will go down and dirty if they are going into Super Tuesday and Joe is still a problem but she will end out there, rather than start out there. As I said, both trades are drifting in her direction and Joes numbers for the Iowa, New Hampshire primaries are already shiite, and his other problems are getting worse by the day. UsualTard was sort of correct in that this little period is a gift from the gods for Pokey not requiring any high risk maneuvers.
And of course Pokey will follow her fundraising and Joe's fundraising as her own little poll of what the long term picture looks like. If Biden starts picking up massive bucks which are clearly aimed at stopping her versus love of Joe, she will adjust her plan a little and go after him- but still in a controlled manner that allows him to be retrievable for the general -ie. Pennsylvania.
