The U.S. State Department report blamed both Biden and Trump for the failed Afghanistan military pullout.
Yet, Trump bragged he made it difficult for Biden to get our troops out by the schedule agreed upon deal...all of this while our military was trying to stick to the schedule of the deal...a military not prepared because of the intentionally slow transfer of power from Trump to Biden in which America was "warned" that the slow transfer of power will make it more difficult for our military in their missions abroad.
Pulling our soldiers out is one thing but to do it in conjunction with pulling out civilians in the withdrawal while a former President brags about making it difficult...
Both Biden and Trump did not heed the history of the failed military withdrawal of Saigon...within 24hrs became Ho Chi Minh City in 1975.
President Ford took the heat even though the problem was set to fail because of the Nixon scandal (he was forced to resign) in the months before the Saigon military/civilians pullout. There was not a smooth transition of power from one president to the next president that negatively impact our troop withdrawals from abroad.
Oh wait, Afghanistan and Saigon weren't the only military/civilian pullout failures. It has happened before in WWII, WWI, and the Civil War. America has not learned that when there's a problem of power transition from one President to the next President...
Our military and civilian lives are in danger abroad (Trump knew of such along with having a temper tantrum about losing the U.S. election) because there are just too many holes to plug for our troops and civilians.
Trump knew what he was doing but Biden didn't heed the warnings even when Trump was bragging about what had been done. Both screwed up just like Ford/Nixon screwed up.

Yet, my old man (a helicopter pilot in Vietnam) blamed the resignation of President Richard Nixon, passage of the Gulf of Tonkin resolution, the results of democratic elections in Vietnam, and the declining support from the American public for the fucked up withdrawal from Saigon that cost the lives of our troops and civilians.
