Some of the dem pundits say they are baffled too.
And pundits are saying that she is just trolling OrangeManBad to piss him off and get him to say outrageous things. Or to send a signal to voters that we may not be able to remove Trump through the 25th but there is an election coming.
Basically, no, that is not what she is up to. Although those aforementioned elements apply.
The correct answer is that she and the insider dems are preparing for the inevitable Kamala takeover if she is elected. They know that it would not have a good look to it to be electing Joe one day and then immediately after he takes office to start introducing 25th amendment related legislation which clearly has Joe in its crosshairs. The way Pelosi is trying to handle that is to introduce legislation while Trump is in office and then market the legislation later as "this is something we think is good for the country but "we were not able to get it passed while the republicans were in power so we are going to fix that." Meanwhile Skankala is measuring the drapes.
As I have said though, the little little challenge for Pelosi is that once the election is over there will be immediate challenges to both Pelosi's and Schumer's leadership - regardless of which way the election goes and she is going to have her hands full fending that off. Schumer as well.
I have the tube on in the background and I see Newt coming on and they said he will be commenting on this. I bet he is savvy enough to see the real end game here.
