Biden 2020

I do agree that it was more like the Dem establishment saying, I guess we gotta suck it up and go with this guy rather than Joe enthusiasm. Obama had real enthusiasm behind him when he ran. Supposedly Obama was worried about Joe running, because he sees the same shit everybody else sees. However, nobody else could break through with the necessary coalition to win. Buttigieg and Klobuchar were polling at like 1-2% with black people haha.

What dem establishment? This is a right wing narrative that they roll out every time Sanders loses to try to divide the democrats.

After SC, Obama and a bunch of power brokers told Buttigieg and Klobuchar, they aren't going to make it, good run, but it's time to coalesce. They both dropout. They call up Beto. Then they all endorse Biden into Super Tuesday. He gets a bunch of other endorsements. After Super Tuesday, Bloomberg realizes half a billion dollars wasted on winning American Samoa was a bad investment and gets behind him as well. The only one who didn't get behind Biden was Warren, because she tries to have the support of both the progressives and establishment. She'll probably never have establishment support unless it gets H2H against somebody even more to the left. It's kind of like when Ted Cruz started getting support from people who never would have considered him until his opponent was Trump. Biden says she's on his short-list, but I'll be shocked if he picks her. He'll likely go with somebody more moderate. Klobuchar and Harris seem to be the most likely picks (even though Harris pretended to be more to the left than her record indicates in the primary). I like Klobuchar, because she's a straight shooter.

Biden hasn't won a frigging thing by himself. The dem field simply collapsed because dems could not find anyone they liked, and then you and your ilk scared the shiite out of them by putting a Soviet Era Commie in the lead position. So the DNC got Jim Clyburn to come out of mothballs and tell all blacks to vote for Joe. Again, Joe did very, very little on his own and what he did do hurt him.

"He is more ahead than Obama and Clinton." Heh, the numbers collapsed into the DNC designated camp which was occupied by Joe, that's all. Otherwise, the dem enthusiasm for Joe compared to Hillary and Obama is laughable- except the dems are not laughing.

The dem party is in shambles and there are no dems out on main street- versus you political hacks and beltway cowboys- who think that Commander Foosball is going to save the country from anything. He has become the laughing stock of the country.

Take your medicine and find a candidate. However rough the process is, regroup. Joe is a loser. The DNC is already plotting how to declare an emergency- with covid being the excuse- and then change the rules to let the let the dnc or the existing delegates choose the candidate or some crooked scenario. And as crooked as it is, it would increase their chances of winning in 2020, because they have no chance now. Do I have to explain to you how to be a democrat?

I thought after all of your Horowitz, black voters don't matter,Biden will never be the nominee,Warren will be the nominee posts you would have shut the fuck up by now.How many times do you have to be wrong before realizing you have no fucking clue what you're talking about?

Yeah, black voters were clearly the most important voting bloc in this election. It is true that black voters stuck with Joe the whole time as whites left him for others. Then Clyburn gave him an even bigger boost. If blacks had abandoned him like whites did then he would have been toast. Non-Bernie whites were clearly abandoning Biden and gravitating towards Buttigieg before SC.

Black voters were clearly the most important voting bloc in this election but also every democrat primary election.Me and Usual Name repeatedly stated that while Tree frogs dumb ass went on and on for months saying the black vote wasn't that important and that Warren would be the nominee.

I think a lot of people are giving Clyburn wayyyy to much credit.Blacks like Biden because of Obama and polls showed Biden had the majority of the black vote the entire primary.

I don’t know about Obama having a hand in Buttigieg and Klobuchar dropping out.

I know Buttigieg and Klobuchar are Democrats like Biden is and like Sanders is not. I think the decision to coalesce around Biden was a lot easier after watching Trump’s rise and total takeover of the GOP. I don’t think Amy and Pete wanted the dem party to lurch and lose its way like what happened to the republicans. Plus the writing was on the wall for them and it’s better to be on the inside than the outside.

I used to think Stacy Abrams was a show in but now I feel like Harris is just a better fit.

I think Clyburn’s endorsement was very important. It really upped Biden from a strong win to a landslide win.

His endorsement might be overrated, but it was hyped by the media going into SC. After underperforming in IA and NH, then essentially breaking even in NV he overperformed his polling in SC even though polls already showed him around 40% going in. He ended up with 48%. Bernie made his Castro comment on 60 Minutes earlier in the week and I bet Steyer fell, because people woke up and realized he couldn't win (he put all his eggs in and spent a fortune there, like Bloomberg did in the Super Tuesday states).
