Trump had more people at his rallies but Hillary got millions more votes.
Trump had huge crowds while campaigning for 2018 GOP candidates but Dems got 10 million more votes.
I don’t like Trump at all and I want a Democrat to win in 2020 but we have to understand Trump has the inside track to win re-election.
The electoral college favors Trump. The democrat needs approximately 53 to 54% of the vote to win. Trump can win with as low as 45% of the vote.
Well, it is true that 1) In the end it is about state by state electoral college hand-to-hand combat, so the national polls are informative but are also getting tiresome. Fortunately as primary season approaches we are getting more state by state info. You know for example, Joe leads by a landslide nationally but is what?- fourth in Iowa and New Hampshire sorta right now? Ahhh, okay. Maybe third. My bad.
And 2) this poll allegedly includes LIKELY VOTERS. Yes, dont even even talk to me about some goddam national polls that are based on random phone calls to people who say they hate trump's guts and love hillary but have never voted in their life. We pretty much got how everyone feeeeels.
Trump is very beatable though. All the dems would have to do is to get a reasonably good candidate. That part not lookin good.
That 53,54 number seems a bit high.At 48% Hillary was only 78,000 votes short.Dems won Senate races in 4 of the 5 states listed above in 2018.Millions regret voting for Trump or staying home.I know the slave state party has the edge in The EC but its not as big an advantage as the gerrymandering in The House which Dems overcame imo.
As far as pollsters go, this is a good poll.
Trump absolutely crushes democrats with non college whites. This is ironic because his tax and healthcare policies actually hurt or ignore this cohort more than any other but his race and gun message resonates here the most.
I know your little feelings are going to be hurt about me saying Trump has a racial message, but it is what it is. Trump is all in on race and guns and this is why his support is so high with non college whites because it damn sure ain’t the stock market or wages.

That's why your ilk is hard at work trying to replace those nasty white folks with Salvadorans and Mexicans and Somalis.
My point is 1. There can be up to a 4 point swing against trump in the national vote and he wins. That would make only 1 of the last 6 elections the republican has had the support of the majority of the people and 2. The swing states are not a reflection of the broader electorate. They are about half white non college voters.
See how butt hurt you get. Like I said, it is what it is.
Watch out for the Russians placing campaign ads in Weekly Shopper Newspapers in the swing states. Yeh, bastards!!
