Biden 2020

If I were Biden.... and I don't know if he can do this or not as per DNC rules, but he can certainly say he's going to.... I would declare right here and now, before the next debate, that Stacey Abrams is my running-mate.

That'll secure the black vote. Hands down. It'll also motivate those who might have otherwise stayed home for the general election and give him a real chance to beat Trump.
It would be a brilliant move. Its his only chance now.
He'll sweep S. Carolina and then Super-Tuesday.
No need to worry about Iowa and New Hampshire.

Black people know white people better than white people know white people and Biden is their man. They trust him, but they need a little more to excited about, Joe is uninspiring. Stacy will fix that. Match made in heaven.

Does Stacey get to have a say in this?

Last I knew when this suggestion came up before she more or less said that she was not interested in being First Mate on the Titanic.

Maybe things have changed? Unfortunately for the worse, I would think.

In an interview a couple weeks ago, when asked why she wasn't running for the Senate in 2020 she said something to the effect of "I don't want the Senate, my natural tendencies are executive, not legislative."

I don't think anything is off the table. Playing 2nd fiddle to Biden is a not a bad gig. Ol' Joe could kick the bucket at any time, and if he won, he may just step down in 2024 anyway and pass the torch. First woman U.S. President and African-American at that. DNC nirvana.

We'll see Tree... the fun's just starting and I think you pronounced Pokey the winner too soon. ;)

I showed restraint.

I reached my conclusions about Biden and Pokey months earlier.

Standing with those projections and doubling down. No hedges.

Helmets on.

It is good for people to say what they think, even if wrong. Otherwise you just become like Here4Bullshit and tonysnark who just serve as conduits for passing links along. That's a chickenshit way to live.

Talking about kicking the bucket, Trump has documented heart disease and takes medication to lower his very high cholesterol levels.

As far as Warren, she is doing alright now but she has a huge security blanket of impeachment protecting her from front runner style vetting. However, four months is a long time until Iowa.

Every now and than you make a good post Vanny. This is one of them.Who ever is the nomniee needs to pick a black vp though.Hillary would be President today if she had.

I’m over at rcp looking at the polls and Biden is holding pretty steady amid Warrens rise. He’s at the lower end of his range but statistically that could be just “noise.”

Biden won't declare Stacey Abrams as his running mate before the next debate. He won't declare anyone who is black as his running mate before the next debate.

Tony, you and I are both wrong. We need to give TreeFrogTrader the predictive credit he deserves. He has been saying Warren will win the primary for months now.

Just like you, I also thought Biden would win the primary and go on to beat Trump. However, Warren has risen faster than a smoke signal on a clear day while Joe looks like he will lose the primary.

No, he won't. But if he does it, assuming she's down, he'll do it before Iowa.
