Bezos hack

Is this real life. Aside from the walled garden iPhones are arguably the most secure consumer phone you can own. They have an excellent privacy policy - including the terms Privacy is a Human Right in their terms of service. It is also incredibly difficult to run unsigned code. They have an excellent track record of stopping government fishing expeditions and include a secure enclave in their devices - a nice touch! The kind of zero day used here could've been on any platform. I feel like you're just using this as an opportunity to take a shot at iPhone users for some strange reason.

In fact I will say, for the dollar value of the iPhone it is a better platform on nearly all measures if only for the reason you don't have to lock yourself into Google's data mining ecosystem just to make a call! To me the exorbitant price is worth it exclusively for this wonderful feature. In fact, having owned many android devices the quality of service through the iPhone's sometimes rather strict walled garden enables hardware to run usefully for long passed it's used by date.

Talk down on macbooks all you want but the iPhone is special in the world of mobile devices.
You're pretty much making my point....

What kind of actions were taken, prior to this and after, by WhatsApp team ?

Because im using multiple file exchange platforms and those do the check for viruses, once you upload the file, so that other users couldn't download it, if it's infected.

Why something that is used constantly for 3-4 years, 1K is too much to pay?

Even for a single year, I now spend a ridiculous amount of time on my mobile, yet still too much on the desktop computer. Hard to lecture the kids about reasonable screen time under those conditions. There seems to be a whole lot of people spending a lot of time on their mobiles, wonder if many still travel with a laptop,
Got some bad experience lately related to hacking/spyware btw, first time I noticed (received commercial cold calls from China on my new spanish sim I had the misfortune og using on the same mobile I used im China, than got the phone rendered unusable after most likely opening an infected attachment. Still getting automated advertising calls from China on the spanish number, on a new mobile. Quite strange. ) That was on a Huawei mobile though, haven t used iphone for a few years.

these days iOS or Android. Not much difference, more like preference.

Fuck Bezos.
Fuck amazon.
Both are ruining USofA by recruiting Chinese by the THOUSANDS to dump Chinese shit on America over the last several years. That's why trade deficit keeps going higher and higher.
Thanks to the TRAITORS at amazon and ebay for destroying THOUSANDS of small US businesses.
Greedy pigs who'll do anything for a paper $.
Imagine the SURPRISE when these MORONS learn those same THOUSANDS of Chinese are now busy building TROJAN businesses INSIDE the country READY to POUNCE the minute amazon/ebay clowns get taken down???
It'll be a good show - just not available on amazon prime.

Why? I am iPhone user from day 2 (literally). When upgrade was free every 2 years, I did that. Now using device for 3 plus years. Something this critical, it is Ok to pay premium.

If you'd get something extra for that 1k then yes. But you're not getting anything extra and iPhone has actually been lacking several features present in other phones, not to mention the very poor build quality. Have had people around me use iPhones and screen issues, button issues etc. are commonplace.

I constantly use my fork and spoon for 3-4 years. Still wouldn't pay 1K.

You have no idea what you're talking about. ToS can say whatever nowadays but the reality is this.

never had any significant issues, and been using it since 2007. Quality is quite good like high end droid. Where droid beats iPhone is camera. Plus I am in their echo system since 2008, there is no compelling reason to switch to anything else.
