Beyond Ninjatrader Brokerage - is IB the only broker offering Ninja? Any other options with Ninja?

8 is a terrific platform but I still use 7 as I am so used to it and prefer the look of the DOM and the printing functions. Currently I have no reason to switch although I did open an AMP account during the Mirus/Zenfire snafu a couple years ago....yes futures.

Maybe I should consider NT/Dorman after all. Is there some way to manage your positions (not phone) outside of the Ninja platform? What I liked with my IB + NT set-up is that I had the possibility of managing positions in TWS as well, both native on my computer, through their web platform and also on my cell phone.

Is something similar available with NT/Dorman?

I'm a little skeptical towards having NT only to rely on, although I can say that I never had a crash in the time I used it for live trading.
 
Any idea why IB seems to be the only broker able to offer Ninja and other brokers seems to have been put out in the cold?

Isn't it also a little odd that Ninja basically isn't interested in selling their software, but offers it for 'free' through their own brokerage?

I would gladly pay either pay for a full time license or lease NT while using it with multiple brokers of my choice, but I can't seem to do that. I'm sure there are others like me as well.

I have hard time understanding how this can be a good deal for Ninjatrader. I'm sure they must be losing a lot of customers this way.

Why not offer the software freely without any restrictions?
 
For day trading ES futures, it seems like my current options would be:

1) AMP Futures with Sierra Charts. Possibly MultiCharts or some other also. But Sierra seems to be really good and fast.

2) Ninjatrader with Ninjatrader Brokerage/Dorman

Although my charting needs are fairly modest and simple, I'm so used to Ninja having used it for years now, so I would like to continue using it. It would be nice not having to learn a new platform right now.

The advantage with AMP is that I have intraday margin for 10 minutes longer and it seems like I have a better back-up solution in case my main software/connection goes down. They offer a web based browser which I can access online either on a secondary computer or my cell phone.

Not sure if Ninja offer anything similar. Although they also probably have a desk I can call to flatten my positions, I would hate not having a secondary software solution in the event of a system freeze or loss of connection.

FCXM and Gain Capital = foreign exchange

Interactive Brokers = too high intraday margins

MB Trading = NT 7 only and recently acquired by Alley Trading. Doesn't sound ideal.

TD Ameritrade = stocks only

So, for futures, they're basically offering it only to Interactive Brokers.

EDIT: Hmm...it seems like Gain Capital offers futures also.
