Beto is Done

I think Beto screwed up with his emotional breakdown over the shooting. He should've kept his composure. From what I read of the comments on YouTube, Dem voters just loved the way Beto acted. I guess they are the emotional type. Maybe all of them are having breakdowns.

Progressives loved the way he acted. They're all about emotion, but unfortunately (and I mean that sincerely) short on real world logic.

Beto approached this exactly the wrong way. He waded into a forum where the majority of the audience supports the governor and attempted to shout down the governor. Obviously going to be a fail.

Beto would have been better off hosting his own news conference nearby with a friendly audience directly after the governors remarks -- and made his points very clear in his own session. Certainly the media in Texas would have covered Beto's session as well.

He succeeded perfectly well in drawing negative attention to Abbott and Cruz's morally craven bullshit then held his own conference outside.

"He's refused to expand Medicaid, which would bring $10 billion a year, including mental health care access for people who need it," O'Rourke said. "He's refused to champion red flag laws. ... He's refused to support safe-storage laws so young people cannot get their hands on their parents' weapons."

But if O'Rouke has a intellectual base to stand on he should win....but he wont

Well I could consider that at face value but I just read your brain fart about adding a club car to the NY subway so more than ever I look down on you.

He is in Texas, there is no intellectual base and given how long the police took in acting the song is now "The yellow streak of Texas". Abbot was doing his usual cover up spin control.
 
Beto simply lacks the necessary self-awareness or sense of timing to ever lead anyone. I doubt he could be elected dog-catcher in Texas if the election was held tomorrow.

Like comedy... timing is everything in politics.
