Best US State to Trade from?

Quote from Pabst:

I'd rather have three days warning that a hurricane is coming than out out of nowhere wonder why the floor beneath me is shaking. IMO folks in the Bay Area, L.A. and Seattle are the one's who should fear disaster the most.

About five evacuations a year most of which for storms that never come. Major pain in the ass, expensive, waste of time.

Versus one bad earth quake every 20 years that you don't have to prepare for or evacuate for.

Easy choice.

Bingo...

also during the "evacuations".. good luck trying to find a supply of food, some gas to even get out, or for that matter, good luck trying to even move on what used to be a "highway" that now has become a "parking lot"

Well my risk of dying or having a wall fall on my head during an evacuation is nothing compared to my whole house collapsing or having the interstate upper deck crush my car with me in it. Unless you are really on the shore and live in a trailer you do not need to evacuate 5 times a hurricane season....

Yeah, you can arrange to be beaten up by 15 teenagers in Las Veags anytime you want! :)

Yeah, but the Mob convinced them to turn themselves in, which they did, and then even pointed out themselves on the video tape, LOL. There is no accounting for dumb A## kids, and this is disgraceful....I don't think we have a monopoly on this type of thing, unfortunately. (6 boys, 2 girls, great, eh?)

When you say the Mob convinced them, do you mean the mob of kids, or are you referring to your associates in the mob?:D

VST Scalper if I could ask,

Is it true that Portland gets more rain than Seattle? I heard that somewhere. Seattle is beautiful, I was there for the summer as a kid, it did drizzle alot in the morning though.

Portland/ Vancouver, WA gets less rain than Atlanta!

Seattle gets way too much rain and is frequently overcast. That is true. Also, it has only two seasons: late spring and fall. WA is called the Switzerland of America. There is tremendous diversity of environments. You will see big mountains and deserts within 1.5 hours east of Seattle. It is the place to be if you are into fishing, hunting, hiking, wind surfing or other outdoor activities. Many younger people complain that the town is too slow compared with other big cities. I would agree. I'm moving after summer ends. Also, people in Seattle are overwhelmingly hostile liberals. Keep your mouth shut if you did not vote for Nader or Kerry.

In all seriousness the first thing I thought of was that the mob would never stand for having dumb ass punk kids screw up tourism and their money makers so they would send their own people out to wipe out those kids and scare off any future copycats. Maybe it was because I had just watched the Sopranos..

I have lived all of my life east of the Mississippi River......

As for states to move to if I needed to be in the Eastern Time Zone, or maybe even the CST, Florida looks good but the hurricanes are a deal killer for me......

I believe you might be living west of the Mississippi, no?

When was the last time you made it to the beach from Vegas in 3.5 hours.....in the 60's?

Quote from Don Bright:

Nevada...perfect weather, no state tax, always something to do (for everyone, not just gamblers)...15 minutes from water skiing, 1 hour from snow skiing, 3.5 hours from surfing, 15 minutes from hiking and, of course, 24 hours to do whatever you like...

And, all your favorite traders live here, LOL....
