best trading simulator?

I was wondering what the best trading simulator is from those who've used them? I'd like to replay real days.

Also, when you use the IB simulator is it anything like a real day?

I want to test out a new way of manually trading on very short time frames, but would like to use as close to real data as possible. I realize this means paying for tick data history (speaking of that, any recommendations?).

This is for ES and YM, but I don't think that matters as far as which simulator is concerned.

The IB sim was the first one I used years ago, after my spreadsheet, and compared to a cash account, fills and slippage were pretty realistic. But nothing compares to live cash performance to measure those elements. I also used Ninja, TS and a few others but found their sim modes to be unrealistic or overly cumbersome for newbies.
