best trading books ever

just to keep things on an even keel and KEEP IT POSITIVE!!!! (following the worst trading books ever)

my vote:

joe ross: trading is a business.

:)

#1: Reminiscences of a Stock Operator (that's a no brainer)
#2: Market Wizards
#3: Pit Bull

*List subject to revision as I read more trading books

Quote from Diamond Geezer:

When asked these days about good books, I point people to Excel user guides, Data analysis and especially multivariate time series analysis books. Most people's eyes glaze over. That's just fine

Have to agree with that.....

Reminiscences is an easy first pick, and the Market Wizards series is also great. Trading in the zone is pretty good, and I also like Trading Rules I and II. These are books on trading in general, without going too much into specific markets/instruments.

For Gods sake stay away from books with "day trading" in the title, I've got too much of them and they're all a waste of time.

"How I trade for a living" by Gary Smith
The reason I like this book is 'cause it is unique and set apart from the myriad of BS books out there.

There are a few exceptions ofcourse :)

Eg - Day Trading With Short Term Price Patterns and Opening Range Breakout by Toby Crabel
