Best technical options books as of 2018

Nah, I don't view it as an attack. He was just stating the fact.

I am dumb. After 6 long years, I still don't truly understand options. Often I felt like the monkey throwing darts compared to folks like you, sle, Sig, guru, destriero....

read those books and many more too but can say in my humble opinion, they are not meant for the retail trader to absorb and trade. they give you a better understanding of the math and mechanics of options but it might be like reading an advanced Calculus text book to learn how to do algebra.

You nail it, but that begs a question, what are the right books for retail traders?

read backs to see how options function and work and then get your hands on as many practical trade discussions or examples. Look online for free articles on using options for simple trades and start there.

I use that to prop up my monitor and stop it from wobbling....

No books necessary after your first. Take model + inquisitive and open mind + tinker + time.

...and scenario test the living shit out of your positions every single day. What if...what if...what if... And that means, at times, adding fictitious trades to see what if.. what if...what if...

...and one more thing of great importance. If you ever say to yourself that's not plausible, so I'm not going to what if it. You must immediately cut off one of your testicles as punishment.
