Best service for quick market news?

You all have a choice. Trade part time, invest etc or run a business based on trading. The Business of trading is based on information. If you trade indexes then this type of news is less important. If you trade commodities or single stocks, news and information is very important.

There is no such thing. People in the know move the market long before any news is released. But the move may not be efficient. There will be after shocks days weeks down the road but your winning or losing depends on how well you read others emotions.

Even the indexes recently were largely moved by the progress of (or the lack of it in) the US-China trade talks. The main stream media are too slow for this type of news. Twitter is much faster but is hard to use.

The software I suggested allows you to filter for what you want to see and the delay is very small. Honestly, it is awesome.

I used them a few years ago, loved the customizability of the software and they have pretty much any news source you desire. Pricing was very reasonable unless you get into the full DJ newsfeed. Even then it cost less than a subscription directly with DJ and DJ directly only offers a web app which is slower and sometimes hangs. NewsEdge in comparison sounds very expensive. 309/m just for the few inexpensive sources they listed? For less than that price you can get a full dow jones global feed that includes all equities, fixed income, commodities, index, econ, law wires.

These sites don't display pricing. How much does it cost?
