Yes, in the northern of Sweden (and Norway and Finland and Iceland and Greenland) the sun shines all night in the summer.

My personal reasons are that it is northern hemisphere (important to me), very pretty, nicest climate in canada, 'easy going' (from what I hear) and has a large ethnic immigrant population with significant numbers of the ex-yugoslav diaspora. No doubt those aren't everyone's reasons for picking vancouver, but they are important to me.

A nice ranch house on 17-mile drive, overlooking Pebble Beach and the Monterey Coast. Not as exotic as Italy, but good livin' nonetheless.

Best Cassoulet (local speciality) in Restaurant Au Gascon, 9, rue des Jacobins. Good duck dishes there as well.

Delaware is a great place to live in the states. Been here for 14 years. No state sales tax. Very low property taxes. Only 2 hours from DC or NYC. Property values are starting to get out of hand but that is mostly anywhere now a days. Bad thing Delaware is the 5th largest state with a high cancer rate per capita. We only have about 700,000 people in the whole state.
But, great place to call home.
