Best Place to trade in the world - Quality of Life

Quote from condorll:

No kidding, I don't see Americans lined up at Costa Rican hospitals for triple bypasses.

Gimme a break

That list is so full of crap it makes me think of the totally useless United Nations (useless politicians at the trough at our expense)

The United States is one of the few countries where you can achieve success if you so desire.

If your neighbors life sucks...perhaps he should put away that six pack of beer, drop the remote and get off his fat butt and get or create a job, instead of expecting society to take care of him.

(Or, he can move to Canada...the system is set up there for the lazy slugs of society, unemployment, welfare, healthcare and a pension plan when you are too old to continue doing nothing).

Unfortunately, the working stiffs in Canada pay big time for the slugs.
[/QUOTE

You guys make me think Canadians shoved a stick up your "bip" or it's just blind envy?

Take it easy or you might need those bypasses. Hope you have your insurance or you are Kaputt (kidding :D )

Mark, I am a Canadian (you would know if you followed this thread) 40 years in Toronto-Montreal, now 7 years in Seattle.
And yes, of course I have insurance.

Ops sorry too many nicks to keep track of, as Damiri said to another guy, if your choice is the right one for you, then good for you.

Sorry to hear you have such a bad consideration of your own people. I also understand we all tend to be severe judging our own country. It's like parents with their kids, they always want the best from them.

Insurance was ironic, I truly hope you'll never need it :)

Spain is very safe to travel around.

It can get a bit dodgey around some of the tourist areas in Barcelona, but apart from that, it's very safe.

The only problem with Barcelonia in Summer is that it's full of American Tourists who think they can speak great spanish becuase they took a class in high school.

If you go, make sure you get there for the first day of the San Fermin festival. (Running of the Bulls). One of the greatest parties on earth.

Perhaps the American tourists are trying to be polite by trying to speak Spanish?
If they spoke English without trying to speak Spanish they would be considered arrogant.

Damned if you do, Damned if you don't.
