Best Place to trade in the world - Quality of Life

First the olympics and now you are putting pictures up all over the internet, I am never going to be able to buy a place in Whistler. Not sure if the pullback in Whistler real estate is ever going to happen.

1. Okanogan Valley also in BC(Vineyards,Orchards, sunny and hot in the summer, great lakes, awesome skiing and sunny a bit cold in the winter, real 4 seasons, smalltown feel, affordable real estate)

2.Vancouver. Number 1 for as long as I'm single! I love living here, but Real Estate prices are stupid and I would prefer to raise a family in a more rural area.

3. New Zealand,near Christchurch I was there earlier this year,lovely town,friendly people,favorable exchange rate, gorgeus scenery nearby,awesome river valley,farmland,skiing,ocean!!

4. Would be interested in seeing more of Austrailia, have only been to Melbourne,I am not a fan of Humidity,so it is not for me.Maybe Perth,I hear it is more of a Mediteranean climate.

Corvus:Cool pics buddy!!

Cheers

Yuk too much snow in Alberta. Montreal is fantastic as a city but must speak a bit of French. They are nastier than in France if you don't . Still damn cold .

I have lived in Whistler off and on for the last couple of years, and it's a great place to live. The place I bought has doubled in value over the last 2 years, what with the growth of the mountain's popularity...I don't know about buying at the top of the trend, I wait for pullbacks. :D It's still not too crowded for me as a resident, though the weekends can be a bit much. And high-speed internet access and excellent espresso can both be had. And the locals are a diverse set from across Canada, the UK, Austrailia/New Zealand, and elsewhere. Nice town.

I have some pics I've taken off and on, some are ok: http://www.cicleworks.com/whistler.html

I also agree that Vancouver and Seattle are wonderful places too. Of course, I have a bias...flyfishing and skiing are my two favorite outdoor activities.

Hi Corvus , Thanks for your info.
I was about to buy a mini-apt in 1998, but changed idea then, toonf toonf toonf ( sound of my head against a wall).
Do you expect prices to rise for winter games?
To me seems still a good investment, heard anything from locals?
Thanks and Nice photogallery!

Never been to Canada, anyone care to elaborate?

vancouver has low crime, very diverse population, excellent food, no hard winters, lots of beaches AND skiing, lots of local produce, you won't get busted for lighting up an afternoon relaxant, if you live in the city, you can dump the car, fabulous physical beauty, thriving cultural scene by any standard but new york's, broadband everywhere, first-rate parks, skater/rollerblader friendly...just a damn beautiful, relaxing place to live.

and $60/month for healthcare is nothing to sneeze at, either. :)

I don't really understand what it is about Paris that fascinates people.

paris is just...paris. people make fun of the French for declaring it an open city in WW2, but i have to say, it was the right thing to do. it is one of humanities great treasures and certainly makes my top-3 list.

1) Manila, Philipines
2) Batam, Indonesia
3) Malaysia
4) China
