Best option strategies to learn ....

I see on the 2nd link there is coaching for $350+ per hour, does anyone think this can ever be worth it?

Of course if we could have one hour and solve this then we all would, but in this case could it be 10+ hours and we don't make much progress?

10 hours won't scratch the surface. They'll teach you just enough to come here and say things that get you yelled at, and the guy teaching you, probably wont know shit.

I was full time online poker player before i transition to trading full time so i know where you are coming from. I can't speak on this particular service because i haven't tried it but 90-99% of these services, coach, are not worth your time. There's a saying those who can't make enough money trading, teach. The good traders are making a ton of money and are not wasting their time with coaching for a few hundred or thousand dollars. You are better off learning as much as you can and doing it on your own.

Good luck on your journey sir.

I'll give you credit. You are a good sport.

Try... sold the 30 delta (strike)-(strike) put spd for $.50

selling the put spd, and providing the strikes, implies credit, vertical, and collecting.
I'm okay with getting crap, someone here even called me a "f'cking idiot". I was okay with that, because I know I'm not the smartest dude here. Also, I believed it was a misunderstanding. But some other dude started asking me some real personal questions where the answers should have been pretty obvious. I blocked his @ss because he smelled like real trouble.

Ron, at TradingDominion is a very sharp guy, and from what I can tell (over the last few years), a step well above others providing services.

I'm happy to concede Ron is the brightest guy that has ever executed an option trade. Fine with me. I bow before the master.
BUT Ten hours is not even one days work. The OP would laugh in my face if I asked if in ten hours I could walk into a poker game vs. Bryn Kenney, Justin Bonomo, Daniel Negreanu, and Dan Smith. Oh yeah, they can also bring along a PC.
Options are infinitely more complicated than poker, it's absurd to tell someone they can be taught to be successful in one short day of intense training. NUTS!!!

I would add Stephen Chidwick to the list who is arguably the best player now. :)

What happened to making a living from poker? Are the edges also gone, like in trading?
Last I heard you could still make some decent cash from the casinos in Asia.

K. My comment was intended to suggest Ron is not a charlatan. Regarding time to learn options well enough to trade successfully ... I agree with you!

Dam,you beat me to it...

I never played Bridge, but there were several really good bridge players on the floor who were also very good traders..

Did you ever trade on the Amex?

That deserves an award for nesting/stacking redundancies.

As for everything else, may God have mercy on your soul.

To the OP... Never saw good poker players -options traders, but knew quite a few very good option trader - bridge players.

Very briefly. Trading equity options in a specialist market felt like someone crippled me. It was by magnitudes, the least productive time of my entire career.

But yes, I was referencing a handful of people I met there, who were reasonably decent options traders, and from what I understood, WAY above average bridge players.

I know nothing about bridge.
