Reuters EIKON rebranded metastock Xenith is $115 or $165 a month. Not an api but you get all the red Reuters alerts and most of the stories behind the headlines.
 
I'm wandering a bit why do you ask a question because simple google search is loaded with both free and paid offers.

As well, you need to be careful about what you ask for. Some news sources would not be good for intraday trading, which is as I understand, your way of trading.
 
Are not news lagging events?

I always wondered how news can be used to trade since you need someone to write them up.

Unless you want everyone to follow your trade by introducing fear, then they are useful.

Thank you again sir. Inasmuch as I appreciate your concern, I'm mildly mature enough to manage myself. I am well along in years and have enough street smarts to ask a focused community for help rather than blindly doing a Google search. :)
