Best mobile broadband?

Quote from BSAM:

I believe this is not correct. I believe the current aircard rate is $60 per month/5 GB.

thats what i pay for att's mobile broadband. iv'e had it for almost three years. its getting much, much better. average speed is 60Mbps same as dsl. i can ever drive arounnd the city with it connected. i rarely get disconnected. i'm using it with sierra charts, interactive brokers and global futures feeds daily in addition to heavy net surfing / moderate downloading and dont come anywhere close to the 5Gb monthly data limit. pretty happy with the service now a days.

Oldee ... What is your approx location??

Also what is the latency re IB??

thnx ... rj

Using the aircard and my laptop, about 98ms on a ping test to IB. (The aircard is a Sierra Wireless 598 USB device).

As a comparision, the laptop on cable is about 50ms.(Edit: Actually this is over my wireless network that I connect to with the laptop).

Location Missouri.

Very difficult though to tell the difference...I notice no lag at all.

Thnx for the info, Oldone ... Im encouraged by the low latency
num. from Mizzo. to IB. Windstream DSL SW of Houston gives
me const. 71ms to IB. Now, if i can find one that also acts as a router .... maybe too much to ask though.
