Dan Zanger? Man, be serious, in 1998/1999, the less risk management you applied, the more money you made. This guy was a gambler, not a trader. Moreover a marketer, everyone should know his "fantastic performances", thanks to Guinness Record !
If he was so good, he would be billionaire like Paul Tudor Jones. PT Jones IS a trader.

He won the US Investing Championship. As you may know, ET has amongst its active members a former winner of the same competition. Other winners include David Ryan, Mark D. Cook and Mark Minervini.

Sorry but I didn't know we have a former winner posting here?
I know David Ryan, Mark Cook and Minervini. They are all top traders but Marty Schwarz was the only one to win 9 times this championship !

Maybe he/she wants to stay low profile. If not he/she would have spoken about it a long time ago.

But as he/she only speaks about it in PM's, it should be clear that staying hidden is the aim. He/she still posts regularly on ET.

There are many differences beyond time frame, here are a few examples 1) Investments are made on fundamental analysis IE supply and demand 2) when you invest, you buy the company not the stock IE business model, barriers to entry, the product 3) where we are in the economic cycle, does it make sense to buy this company now given where we are in the cycle etc... There are more differences, I just listed a few.
As you can see two different skill sets.
