Best ET trading strategy threads collection

I am sure there were many great trading strategy discussion in ET throughout so many years, but it is hard to just search to find out those threads. Would you share the threads that you know? Thanks.
 
Don't you find it amusing that many of the thread posters, don't post any more? I have to wonder did they make 500 million and quit, or crash and burned eventually? But t is very interesting reading of some of it. I think newbs should gain much by seeing the amount of time people kept at learning to trade, the emotions, though many newbs think it is a cake walk and they special.

It's because basing decisions on the short term doesn't pan out. Short term price action is "random" in nature; with large funds scaling in and out, HFT trading price discrepancies, "headline" gyrations, etc.

People "burn out" as trading requires such intense focus and, in and majority of cases, subjective interpretation and use of instinct. A good neuro psychological treatise on this subject is represented in the book " The Hour Between Dog and Wolf " by John Coates

The best probabilities, with the least amount of work and transactions, come from investing in the "sustained" long term trends that are keyed off of the U.S. equity markets and economic cycle.

The 21st century has ushered in access and investment into ETFs that underlie the "best" emprically proven * stock universes. A simple, "great", low transaction allocation switching process involves a price cross of moving average using S&P500 and Bond fund proxy. Using the mid cap growth stock universe, this has produced risk mitigated alpha premium over buy and hold .. Nothing fancy ...
