Best Charting Software?

If I don't plan on trading with trade station, Wouldn't it make more sense to open an account with $500 and be inactive vs the subscription for trade station which is $100 a month? It looks like both options give access to tradestation unless I am missing something
I think I already covered it , I think you'll find $500 account only gets you fx data , 2000 for stocks and data ( though it's not really of any great interest to me so could be wrong ).

I've used them all, and Medved Trader (MT) is hands down the best charting program out there. I've been using them for 3+ years now, but I was also a long-time QuoteTracker user, until TDA shut it down. MT is so much more than a charting platform though. Provides broker independence, multiple trading vehicles (DOM, Chart-based, interactive), provides an exceptional stock screener, and is infinitely extensible through drag-and-drop Paintbars (for non-programmers) and/or C# logic (for programmers). Best part of MT, aside from its functionality, is the superior, almost real-time support that you get from their team. They really care, and that is what sold me from the outset.

MotiveWave. We support 30+ brokers and data feed connections. We support Windows, macOS and Linux. Free Community edition for just charting and sim trading. Also different editions for trading depending on what features you want.
Looks good but under Ehlers indicators I was looking for mesa sine wave , not there?

We don't currently have that one, but if you email support@motivewave.com with more information on that indicator, we can put it in as a feature request.

Medved Trader with IB, day/swing trading equities, futures, been using MT for 7'ish years (IB 9+).

MT is very intuitive to set up, very stable, has all the indicators one might want, in addition to chart trading, DOM (Matrix on Tradestation).

Support is second to none. Highly recommended!
