Youâre not going to fool one person you work with by driving a $50K car. They are going to know where it came from and that you have not earned it through any hard work of your own, and believe me nobody cares who your parents are or where you came from. At the end of the day the only thing that matters is results.
My advice to you when you get to Chicago is to work hard and above all be humble.
Oh and never mention to anybody that you got $50K (whether it is in the form of a car or money to invest) from you parents as a token of there appreciation to you for finishing school. People in Chicago could care less.
