Best brokers in the business

Hey everyone. Beginner trader here. I was wondering if you guys can suggest any brokers that are the best in the market, in terms of leverages, bonuses, etc..

Hi pozexis- I want to start out by saying there is no "BEST" broker, there is what is best for you. I can't tell you from your brief post if that is us at Lightspeed. And I'm not sure what you mean by "bonuses". At Lightspeed, we cater to the active trader of US-Listed Stocks and Options. It depends... what do you trade and how? Assuming retail trading platforms:

- Fidelity is solid for all-around markets, and has a respectable fixed income offering.
- Schwab is also a solid platform, and StreetSmart edge tool is helpful. No fees for US equity trades.
- Interactive Brokers has the best retail API, and best for the bedroom algo trader. It is very popular among the day-trading and technical trading crowd.

Note that professional trading is a whole different game, where Bloomberg, Eikon, and cages at the exchanges are employed. This is enormously expensive, and typically out of reach for the retail trader.

I must defer to others for forex, futures, options, crypto, and other markets--not my games.

I haven't started trading yet. I am still learning and I have a capital of around $2k. Im in a very small community of trader friends. They mostly trade indicies and couple of them trade forex. I don't know what I will be trading yet. I am as of now, researching, learning, etc.. I googled this question and came a result, saying that unregulated brokers bring bonuses on the table. What kind of, I have no idea and their leverages are very high. Though the term " unregulated " is a bit sus. I have no idea about the differences between unregulated and regulated brokers so if anyone can enlighten me that would be perfect =)

I am in no way a professional trader btw, its just gonna be a hobby for me. I am interested in doing so since my friends are kind of profiting and I wanted to jump in. I am aware of the risks, just wanna try my luck and ability to trade.

2K...Robinhood for cheapness. Fidelity and Schwab DO NOT WANT YOU!! Yes, they want you (when someone in your family dies and you inherit $$). Both Schwab and Fidelity are very good for hand holding...Which is what you need for the next few years.

You can call customer service 24/7 with them...

They want $50,000. to make it worth their while, for you to blow up your account...
