best broker for shorting Asia stocks

Hi,

Any recommendations for a non-US person as for the best broker to short Asia stocks (mainly Japan, Hong Kong, possibly Singapore), mostly in terms of inventory? Interactive Brokers is the best I've found so far, and their inventory is so-so, but I haven't really looked into any of the locals. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.

what kind of locals? i'm not necessarily looking for a one-stop solution.

Look at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell whose Asian HQ is in Singapore or Sun Hung Kai in Hong Kong. And, there's always the old US firms like Merrill Lynch. Solid presence in almost every Asian country.
