Best broker for for 35K account for DTing?

I have been using Thinkorswim (TOS -T DAmeritrade) for swing trading. I am interested in day trading, and am looking for a retail broker who will not kill me with fees. Do people even use TOS for day trading??? The platform works well, and I really like it. But I think it foolish to use it for day trading.

So I am asking for help in making a decision on what would be the best platform for me. Reliability, cheaper fees, quick execution, and user-friendliness are my concerns...probably pretty obvious.

Agree. But I'd add coupling IB with DAS as your front end is the best combo.

If your short biased and like hard to borrow though sort of stocks then IB isn't for you as you can't do Locates. I hear Centerpointiis good for that

So far I have done all day trading, no swing trading. I am liking IB. I am just starting, only been live trading since May, but I did do a lot of comparison shopping. If you run Linux, then you want IB. TOS is maybe in general a better trading platform than TWS which is IB's platform, but IB is the better of the two brokerages for day traders. JMHO. If you are a WinDOHs guy and would never in a million years be interested in Linux, then you would maybe like LightSpeed better. Both LightSpeed and IB have very reasonable commission structures. LightSpeed probably offers better execution speed though I have had no issues with IB. In no way am I disparaging other brokerages, it is just that there are only a few that I have really looked into, and only one that I have actually used, though I do have a small account at TD Ameritrade just to be able to try and use their platform indefinitely. And TDA and IB are the only two that I am able to use due to universal lack of support for Linux users among the rest.

Just did a Google search for 'DTing' but couldn't find a single reference. Did you just create a new universally-accepted acronym?

MotiveWave is very stable and user-friendly and good for day trading. We connect to TDAmeritrade, IB, and many other brokers and data service providers.
