I am aware of the all in cost. But there is no platform fee like other brokers so I believe it's still a good deal.

What does AMP charge for emicro commis?
Sierra charts through AMP is not free any more... think its $25/month now
Anyone using AMP... What are your preferences for data and charts? Why?

What about the TT routing and CQG recent routing problems that AMP customers had that caused a freeze in customers executing orders through AMP. With TT it went on for several days from what I read. This is quite concerning. Do you think it is all fixed?
I am really liking AMP so far been with them a few months now, very stable.
Customer support is best if you just pick up the phone and call them. Simple.
For the small account testing I am doing they are perfect and meet my needs.
I have cleared with other major clearing firms that didn't come close to the performance of AMP. They also have a client forum which is monitored and they actually respond to inquiries about different subjects. You hardly ever see a firm do this ever. So I think they are very transparent and genuinely try and do a good job for the customer which means a lot to me.

I've been trading with AMP for asian futures the past 2 years and overall happy.
For ES, long time ninjatrader user. They finally have ACH w/ philips capital for withdrawals. Their transaction fees are higher than IB, but on the other hand the margin requirements are a fraction of IB so it's easy to get started.
Unless you're already profitable or are experienced with automated strategies, it's too easy for costs to balloon. For example iqFeed is around $100/month for ES, but most newbies would do just the same with the $30/month non professional data fees.
Likewise with platforms, Sierra Chart with AMP is free, no monthly fees.
Better to keep monthly data and platform expenses as low as possible, and use that money on a vps instead. A good cheap chicago/ny vps like www.ninjamobiletrader.com opens up alot more possibilities than buying an expensive data package.
