best books you've read on trading

Quote from luckybastard:

Most books on trading are written by people who failed at it. However, I do appreciate the books by Mark Douglas.

Also, Mark Fisher the owner of MBF, Martin Shwartz, Nicolas Taleb to name the few.

I would say if anyone is looking for a unique look into "one persons view of real trading," this is the type of book I have put together, and of course feel can be of use to other traders...

Are you a golf swing expert, too?

Quote from Rocko1:

I've just gone through half the books at the school library on trading, and found most of them not so well written or practical. Perhaps this could help all of us filter out the bad ones quickly.
Here's my list,

1. Trade Your Way To Financial Freedom By Van thorpe
2. An Introduction to Mathematical Finance By Fred Espen Benth
3. Technical Analysis For The Trading Professional by Constance Brown
4. Trend Following by Michael Covel
5. Trading Pairs: Capturing Profits and Hedging Risk with Statistical Arbitrage Strategies
By Mark Whistler

Market Wizads I and II are among my favorites. I also recommend "Think & Grow Rich," though it has nothing to do with the mechanics of trading.

So when you compile everyone's list of favorite books, it turns out to be just another big mumbo-jumbo. Why don't you trim out the fat and state only the main points of the book?

BTW my fav is Marcel Link's "High Prob Trading" as well (very concise and to the point).
