Bananas also can lead to constipation, so don't go over board. I screwed up my shoulder lifting about a month ago. Being stubborn, and 46 I figure who cares and I keep pushing, even though I feel something popping in my shoulder when I lift. Not sure what it is, but I guess I know I am going to be seeing a doc soon to find out what is going on. It feels like a tendon, or ligament is rolling between the shoulder and the collarbone. Hurts like a dickens, but I can still lift.
For you ab people, my son who is in swimming, football, and track has given me a whole bunch of new training options. I f you have kids talk to them about what they are doing. Added planks in, and I see a difference in my abs. Actually I may see abs doing planks. The difference between workouts from when I was in high school and what they do now is amazing. My middle son is no small kid, 6'1", and 235, but he is in far better shape than I am or his older brother who hasn't been in as good a program. He swims the 500 and can maintain a phenomonal pace, whereas I almost died trying to keep up with him. Not kidding, I had to get out of the pool, or the lifeguard was going to be digging me off the bottom.
