Well, I don't have any qualms about him being right, or being left or whatever. That is his prerogative and his right.
What I question is how can you possibly hope to learn anything from someone that doesn't even accept science. What you are discussing is history and politics, which is an even softer science than psychology, which in turn is ten times more of a science than anything being discussed here!
When I respond to someone it is because that person has provided some contrast to my own beliefs, and made me question them and my own stance. In the process I grow as a person. These people aren't interested in growing or reconciling their believes, so there can be no learning or growing from engaging them, imo.
