It is interesting that some of the less loonish democrats have commented- not that Bernie should be staying in specifically- but that Biden and others should not be leaning on others to drop out. Debbie Dingall, who has not endorsed, for example is making that case. She argues that the process needs to run its course and that the dems are in serious need of attracting young people so they should not be shutting them down and driving out of the party when they are trying to get them involved, and should avoid just outright embittering them.
I would think that makes sense, but the unspoken script and reality is that many Biden supporter types such as Jim Clyburn know that the longer Joe is out there exposed to debates and campaigns and all of that, the more risk there is.
