When times were good and the ponzi money was rolling in she sure was there by his side to take advantage of that payola. She shared in the criminal money.
And not not all women are like that, a real wife who loves you would stick with you during good times and bad times just like you would do the same.
The problem is Mark married a trophy wife golddigger who only was interested in wealth and status. Once those evaporated her ass was outta there.
Instead of being there with him, she left him alone and isolated and of course guy ended up hanging himself with a dog collar.
These guys are so concerned with wealth and status that they surround themselves with the same vapid type people and marry the same class of people. Once the wealth and status is gone the reality of it all is too much for them as they sit alone once everyone else jumped ship.
Too many people in this world focus on the wrong things in life.
Yes and no. I agree with the1 above you, the son HAD TO BE on the take, he had to know what was going on. BUT the wife didn't. It is completely possible that she realized just after Madoff's arrest that her husband is a crook too.
So what do you do when you realize that your spouse provided your good life criminally? Not to mention puts your life in danger, because the Russians could take out the whole family.
I bet the sons, and Bernie's wife will die BEFORE Madoff, just to cause more suffering and stress for him.
And anyway, that's what you get when you marry a trophy wife. So whatever way I look at it, it is his fault....

Umm, because she took a vow on her wedding day -- for richer or poorer? And because she would hope and expect her husband to stand by her and her children, if the shoe were on the other foot --i.e. if she'd made poor life choices or suffered setbacks.
So then why get married? Just askin'...

I firmly believe after understanding human male and female animal:
Man marry to bang her as per his wish anytime anywhere. The baby is the byproduct of his high sexual drive driven by man testosterone.
Female marry to get love, be in a relationship and find a future daddy for her kids.
