Bernie 2020

Y'all hear the talk about how Trump will go full scorched earth with Joe.

However, I think it will get funner and funner even before then. The Comrade is not Trump but he will be going one on one with Joe in the debates and Bernie is definitely capable of keeping a pace that Joe cannot- which will fluster Joe and that is when he begins to unravel.

Joe has a lot of good material to work with against Bernie- and he has lots and lots of handlers now to show him how to deploy it. Nevertheless, if the Comrade just keeps slogging at a pace that Joe cannot match- very easily done- then things you never expected to hear start coming out of Joe's mouth. The debate stage has been so crowded in the past that they have had to move on - or the biased moderators chose to move on- just when things were getting good. There will still be some of that but the Comrade is doggard. Not a good debater, but he has the stamina and will step up to issues.

Just saying that Bernie will be a preview to Trump. Trump and Bernie are not even in the same league but Bernie will be more vigorous than what Joe has faced so far and so far he has come out with some real crazy shiite under pressure.

Watched Bernie’s townhall on Fox. Regardless of how you feel about his politics, the man can articulate his position and do it well.

He’ll mop the floor with Biden one on one.

The Comrade likes to go out on the hunt.

It may be a hunt for free stuff, but a hunt no less.

As I have said before, unlike Bernie, I dont think it makes any difference whatsoever in the long run if he wins or loses SC. If he wins in SC it will be only because he will have spend all his time and money and limited energy there right before SuperTuesday, thus ensuring that his neglect of those states will take him even lower. We know that his entire campaign message consists of sentences that have a noun, a verb, and "South Carolina" in them. If he is running to be President of South Carolina, he is following a good strategy.

Joe disagrees with this and firmly believes that any state that has any blacks will follow the smoke signals from their black brothers and sisters in SC if he has a win there it will automatically cross-pollinate over to all the Super Tuesday states. IT'S FRIGGING NUTS. It's the worst goddam campaign strategy since Rudy Guiliani decided that Florida was the only state he needed to win to be elected.

Joe's strategy with blacks cross-pollinating to other states might have some merit in states where he already had support from whites and was just trying to firm up more of the black vote but he has not done that in most of the SuperTuesday or earlier states. We have nutcase tards here on the forum too that argue every day all Joe needs is the black vote. NO. He and any other candidate need to do well with whites and then get the black vote too. To say that you can't win without the black vote is not the same as saying that you can win with just the black vote. Why are the tards so stupid?

Yeah,we were the stupid ones:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I saw only about 20 minutes of the debate tonight because it was....well..errr...wicked boring.

But Bernie and Joe were clearly doing the softball conciliatory, unification thing. As discussed, Bernie certainly has the capability of taking Joe apart- except that was not his strategy and did not want to. He has already moved over into the mode of just wanting his issues to be in Biden's platform at some point.

Also, I came back later and Anderson Cooper was asking him whether the primary should go on or be cancelled given the corona thing and the risk to voters. Bernie wussed out on that by saying that it was a good question and local officials should consider it, blah, blah, blah. Sounded to me like he was looking for some kind of face-saving off-ramp where maybe he could be a hero and withdraw for the good of the national health and safety.

Alright, it could have been fun at that debate but it looked like it was not and so any future debates between them or interactions will be flaccid and boring too. So many chances for fun and excitement along the way. Thirty candidates who all turned out to be boring. Debates that were boring. Could have had a contested convention- nope, you guessed it, boring.

Joe will be all set as long as Trump does boring well too.

Don't count on it.

I spent the whole debate playing NBA2K on PS4 with my son because I actually miss the NBA and knew it would have been more fun that watching 2 senior citizens fighting over a parking spot...

Not a parking spot, last plate of jello from the lunch line at the nursing home
