Bernie still getting a pass on his medical records. It is just a little dance they do now at the debates and in the media where they do a light and breezy hit on him, enough to let him beat his chest with his pre-canned "if you want to follow me around for a day and see how many of the young people can keep up to me you are welcome to do that." Then they move on with both Bernie and the media pretending that the issue was addressed head on.
Nope. It's the elephant in the room.
How you view the issue, depends on how you frame the questions. What the press/voters should be saying and asking is: "Senator Sanders, we acknowledge that you keep a rigorous schedule out on the trail that few could follow, and it has resulted in your being hospitalized fro a heart attack. Why should we not expect more medical complications as you seek to enter one of the most stressful jobs on the planet?
They give him a total pass. Not really total. They have just worked out a dance where there is a sub silentio agreement that they will touch the issue but do no real damage.
The relationship between the media and the dnc and bernie is very complicated right now. They don't want Bernie to win and they are working to take him down, but at the same time they fear that they may wake up in a couple weeks and Bernie has the votes needed to become the nomineeor within striking distance - so they need to figure out how to take him down without damaging him so badly publicly that he is hurt as the nominee if they fail.
What a mess.
