Benghazi Dad: Hillary Either Lying Or Brain-damaged

Father of Benghazi Victim: Either Hillary Is a Liar or Has a Bad Memory From Head Injury

Charles Woods, the father of Tyrone Woods, one of the Benghazi soldiers who was killed defending his fellow Americans on the night of September 11, 2012, had something to say to Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton on Tuesday regarding her interview on Fox News Sunday. During her conversation with Chris Wallace, Clinton suggested she had not lied to the Benghazi victims’ families and told them the terror attack was actually the spontaneous reaction to an offensive internet video. She held no “ill
feeling” toward the family members because their memories must just be fuzzy, she insisted.

When Fox News anchor Bill Hemmer played the relevant exchange for Woods, who was hearing the audio for the first time, he responded indignantly.

“There are two options,” Mr. Woods said. “One, either she is lying, or she has a bad memory because of her age or head injury she’s suffered.”

Woods continued to explain that according to his recollection Clinton told him his son’s death was the result of a YouTube video. It’s the same thing she told the other family members, he added.

It wasn’t just in private – she then repeated the same lie to the American public at Joint Base Andrews in front of our fallen Americans.

“She stood in front of my son’s casket and blamed the rage directed at U.S. embassies” on a video, Woods said.

The media has been skewered this week for offering an outsized amount of coverage to the feud between Donald Trump and the Khan family, while offering little coverage of Hillary Clinton's behavior toward the Benghazi family members.

You have to just stand back and admire the sheer chutzpah of Clinton. She doesn't bear the victims' families any "ill will." How very big of her.

She brazenly lies to them about the circumstances of their sons' deaths, trivializing it as a spontaneous riot over an obscure video. She sends Susan Rice out to repeat the same lie on five TV shows. She repeats it herself on TV in front of the caskets of the dead heroes. Then, when the lie is exposed, she accuses the parents of lying but magnanimously doesn't bear them any ill will.

After all, they are little people from somewhere in flyover country, so they don't know how to act around someone like her. Take a cue from the media parents, you're expected to keep your mouths shut and accept whatever she says. After all, she is an historic figure. Billionaires fawn over her. Who the hell do you think you are to question her? And ps, if you don't get the memo, the next reminder might not be so nice. kapiche?

I'm waiting until the debates. Clearly the media are in bed with Hillary. We won't win the dummies who read headlines. But we will capture much of the middle ground and swing voters If trump stays on point.

He can attack all day but he has to stay on the issues. If he gets side tracked with all this he said she said bs and gets lost in the reeds - which the media want - then we're done.

I doubt it. There's too much good news.

David Kirkpatrick of the New York Times reported that 20-year-old neighbor Mohamed Bishari witnessed the attack. According to Bishari, it was launched without warning or protest and was led by the Islamistmilitia Ansar al-Sharia (different from the group called Ansar al-Sharia based in Yemen designated by the U.N. and the U.S. Department of State as a terrorist organization[114]). Kirkpatrick reported that Ansar al-Sharia said they were launching the assault in retaliation for the release of the anti-Islamic video, Innocence of Muslims.[115][116] It was further reported that Ahmed Abu Khattala was called a ringleader of the attack by both witnesses and authorities, though he insisted he did not play a part in the aggression at the American compound. Witnesses, Benghazi residents, and Western news reports have described him as a leader of Ansar al-Sharia, though he stated he was close to the group but not an official part of it. He further stated he was the commander of an Islamist brigade, Abu Obaida ibn al-Jarrah, some of whose members had joined Ansar al-Sharia.[117]

In the days and weeks following the attack, President Obama and other administration officials noted that the video had sparked violent incidents at a number of U.S. diplomatic facilities and stated it was also a prime catalyst for the Benghazi attack. On the evening following the attack, in an email to the Egyptian prime minister Kandil, then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton wrote "we know the attack in Libya had nothing to do with the film. It was a planned attack, not a protest."[123] Two days after the attack, CNN reporter Sarah Aarthun quoted an anonymous senior U.S. administration official: "It was not an innocent mob. The video or 9/11 made a handy excuse and could be fortuitous from their perspective but this was a clearly planned military-type attack."[124] In his September 18 appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman, President Obama said that "extremists and terrorists used (the anti-Muslim YouTube video) as an excuse to attack a variety of our embassies."[125] In his Univision Town Hall appearance on September 20, President Obama said that the "natural protests that arose because of the outrage over the video were used as an excuse by extremists to see if they can also directly harm U.S. interests."[126] A later report from an independent review board concluded "there was no protest prior to the attacks."[127]

And then there's the part about her telling a congressional committee 'what difference does it make'?

Here's the really nefarious aspect of that statement:

First she presents a false dichotomy about the motives for the attack:

A.) people "out for a walk" and decide to attack the embassy
B.) a response to a video

As if those were the two possible motives on the table...and not an organized attack in response to a lack of security, and possibly to obtain (give away) an arsenal to help widen the Syrian conflict.

Excuse A.) above is a distraction...a prevarication.

BAsically, she was trying to maintain the idea that whatever the reasons for the attack, the reasons were trivial, and had nothing to do with her and Obama's policies (while an election is on the horizon).

Then she used the "four people are dead" line to emphasize the triviality of the motives, and OBFUSCATE her involvement in the mishap.

That's the really nefarious aspect of this disrespect.

Approximately one hour after she signed off on a State Department release blaming the video on the night of the attack, Clinton e-mailed her family. “Two officers were killed today in Benghazi by an al-Qaeda-like group,” she wrote.

The night of the attack, Clinton also called the prime minister of Libya, explaining that Ansar al-Sharia had claimed responsibility. And in a call with Egyptian prime minister Hisham Kandil, Clinton deliberately rejected the video idea. “We know the attack had nothing to do with the film,” she says. “It was a planned attack, not a protest . . . Based on the information we saw today, we believe that the group that claimed responsibility for this was affiliated with al-Qaeda.” Jordan confronted Clinton about the discrepancy. “I’m reading what you said, plain language,” he said. ‘“We know the attack had nothing to do with a film.’ That’s as plain as it can get. Why didn’t you just speak plain to the American people?”
