What are some benefites with trading with a Prop type firm vs. trying to trade on your own $50,000 account?

you are around people who know how to trade.

Be very careful. leverage is also a killer when you arent trading well.

Are you incapable of just answering him instead giving him a rude response?

Not to disagree, but that's not always the case. There are enough failed firms to prove otherwise. Although, it is probably a better alternative than trading at home for the most part.

Rowan, don't listen to these guys. they have nothing better to do. One major advantage to prop is of course the higher leverage. Not sure the quality of traders will be better though. Also you might find a prop deal where you don't have to put up any $ which is always nice. Godd Luck!!
