The Daily Caller article reports that Carson said he was told by Gen. Westmoreland they would get him an appointment to West Point, as he was the outstanding ROTC student in Detroit, and obviously , they wanted a high achieving black guy. An appointment is equivalent to a full scholarship.

Maybe he misunderstood, maybe this, maybe that. In the end it smells like bullshit and that damages his whole I'm above all that persona.

It smells exactly the way Politico wants it to. And the tactic works far too often. And the story has been picked up and reported over many other outlets.

Take some time and watch this interview from this morning where Carson attacks the media repeatedly, throughout the 30 minute interview. Camerota fights back. Fun watch, actually. I got a lot of laughs from it.

I can't disagree. I can't wait for Levin tonight to learn if the Politico hit was orchestrated by the left wing, or the republican establishment. Both in unison? Rumors are some rinos would rather see Hillary than a conservative, but others have said Bamster would rather see a republican than Hillary (watch AG Lynch for hints on that). Not sure if that last one is relevant to the Carson take down, so my money is on the establishment.
