Seems old Ben plays fast and loose with his personal history. He's going all Brian Williams on us. His thug life is being questioned, though that seems less problematic than this story.

Add in some of his crazy religious views and I'd say the shark has just been jumped.
Listen, the guy has a great story without all the fluff. Kid comes out of ghetto Detroit and becomes a friggin brain surgeon. Hell of an accomplishment, but the man isn't remotely qualified to be president. He has zero skills in executive management, doesn't know squat about foreign or domestic policy other than terrorists are bad and the government spends too much. Time to bow out Ben. Go gracefully and keep some integrity about yourself.

I'm amazed that the MSM is going into the guys teens, and seeking info that cannot usually be verified by people who were not aware of said events...I know this for a fact regarding my own young years. Regarding Politico: The story is being called outright lies by Carson's campaign...still breaking. I don't believe anything I hear from these hack rags anymore...including Politico.

Does this mean that Hillary can't be president because she lied about being named after Sir Edmund Hillary? I guess that would be just the start of Hillary's lies. We could be here all day listing them.
 
It's fascinating to contrast the media's obsession with the early teen years of 65 year old republican candidates and their total lack of interest in any aspect of Obama's youth, from his muslim upbringing to his campus radical days to his mentoring by terrorist Bill Ayers.

I'm with you on the media trying to dig up some crap about just how much of the thug life was he involved in. He gets astronomically high marks for his honesty and integrity, so they're trying to dent that up a bit. This West Point story is a different game though. Now he's bogged down in Clinton speak. Full spin mode in play. Maybe he misunderstood, maybe this, maybe that. In the end it smells like bullshit and that damages his whole I'm above all that persona.
Why this is important to me is because Clinton must be defeated. Carson ain't the guy. Should he somehow stumble into the nomination, she'll destroy him in every debate. He'll look like a fool, and the election will be a national embarrassment for republicans. Like I said, the guy has a great story. Smart man. Can lead a team of medical professionals during brain surgery. All that and 5 bucks get you some shitty coffee at Starbucks. The man isn't qualified and saying neither was Obama isn't a winning argument.
 
I don't really support Carson, although I do admire him greatly. This Politico story is really garbage though. The mainstream media would never publish something like that about a democrat. We know for a fact that they sat on far bigger scandals involving people like John Edwards, where the National Inquirer finally broke the story, or Bill Clinton.

This story appears to have a gaint flaw in that Carson denies ever claiming to have applied or been admitted to West Point. Basically, they are accusing him of not doing something he never claimed to have done. Even Dan Rather does better than that.

I agree wholeheartedly, but while the Politico story seems to have a hole in it, I keep hearing that somewhere in his book Carson claims to have been offered something from West Point and he declined. I can't find a direct quote from the book, but I'm looking. Either way plays out as a he said, she said type of story, and that puts a knick in Carson. But yeah, the media digging into this while so completely ignoring anything and everything about a dem is classic leftist bias.
