Ben Carson: A Muslim shouldn't be elected president

I think this conflict is multi-layered, and the enemy is far more elusive than achilles28 appears to believe.
Let's see...Iran (a Russian ally) is fighting IS in Iraq, Russia will now be fighting them in Syria, (and eventually Iraq?), we and some of our allies are bombing them in Iraq, (not sure where else), and so on. It's becoming harder to see who the enemy of the enemies really are, and who are really the friends of said enemy(s)...getting convoluted as shit...sounds like a powder keg in search of a match, especially now that Russia is involved (not to mention that whole Ukraine thing which has resulted in western sanctions on them, from which, as internet rumor would have it, is beginning to pressure Putin, who will strike out {and in fact, most likely has begun to...in Syria!}).

Yes, I think that's a big part of it, not to mention that battling ISIS is a difficult proposition all on its own. ISIS is hardly a typical military opponent.

Obama knows where ISIS training camps are located yet doesn't attack them. Why?

Obama knows which oil fields are under ISIS control, yet doesn't take them over. Why?

When ISIS 'stole' 2,000 US Humvees, no counter assault was waged to at least destroy the hardware. Why?

Where are the aircraft carriers, subs, and naval cruisers? Why isn't america waging an around-the-clock assault from their bases all across the med and middle east to destroy ISIS like they did against Saddam the first two times?

I'd like an coherent answer to each of those questions. I doubt you will answer one of those questions, because you can't.

Why are you not a military advisor? You seem to know everything about everything.

I kind of liked Carson at first, he seemed to say all the right things, but more and more he is starting to look like one of those guys who has zero social skills, because he spent his whole life in a text book. I golfed in the summer growing up with a guy who became an eye surgeon who was exactly like Carson, he came from a strict muslim home and wasnt allowed out during the school year, he got all 90's in school cause his parents had him sitting looking at a text book all day every day during the year, but the guy just had zero common sense, and zero people skills, he was a nice guy, but so socially awkward because he never learned how to behave with people. Carson is starting to remind me of that, cause its hard to fathom someone that smart could have no understanding of the impact of some of the things he says, but most likely its because he spent his life in books, not social situations.

Some of the smoothest talking politicians in the world are also the dumbest so now its a question of whether id like someoen who can communicate or someone who is smart with no ppl skills. Bottom line i dont think Carson is suited for politics with his lack of social skills, but he cant be any worse then the smooth talking grifters we have running the show right now who focus test every word, yet seem to fuck up every single thing they do.
