The Genius Founders did not provide for women to vote. After all, they tended the domestic home... hardly paid attention to America's "affairs of state" and vital issues... same is true for slaves. They were not allowed to vote, and for good reason.

I think you have the left confused with the right. Was it not the right who wanted to shut the government down? Aren't they the ones against homosexuality. Times are changing, the old conservatives are becoming few and new youth liberals with open minds are taking over. Look at how liberal many of your beloved Republican conservatives have become. They know they must appeal to the newer generation or they will lose. I applaud them. Democracy works because we the people get to chose, not a small minority picking for everyone else.
